The Olinoy REporter
The Olinoy Reporter is a local paper published every Friday in Olinoy, Illinois with an occasional Sunday Supplement here and there throughout the year. It contains stories that in our minds sum up a lot of what the midwest United States is all about. There's local news, restaurant reviews, entertainment tidbits, obituaries and everything else you'd expect from a paper, but with that certain something special you won't get in a big city or national paper. We were really excited when our fans helped keep the paper alive (see articles below) because there's nowhere else we can find comedy material like this.
A special thanks to duck logic comedy fans – "OR" IS SAVED!!!
5.1.13
After 100 years of offering the one-of-a-kind insights and understandings you only find in an independently produced local publication, the Olinoy Reporter was going to have to close it's doors on 4.30.2013… and stop printing it's paper too!
An overwhelming response from our fine fans here at Duck Logic Comedy helped kick OR's Kickstarter Campaign through the uprights and they got what they needed to continue publishing just hours before they were going to have to shut down the presses forever. You helped SAVE THE PAPER!
So a big THANKS to all you guys and gals for making sure one of our best places to get comedy material isn't stopped dead in it's tracks. You all rock!
And as our homage to one of the most entertaining small town papers that ever existed, Duck Logic Comedy has secured the rights to reprint our favorite articles from their entire historical archive, past, present and future.
So we'll be passing along new stories as they happen, dipping into the Olinoy Reporter's rich past and keeping fingers crossed that someone with a time machine sends us some of those future stories as well.
Keep an eye on our blog for The Best Of The Olinoy Reporter posts, starting Friday May 3rd, and relive "all the news that fits in print."

Has the Olinoy Reporter Published it's last rEport?
4.24.13
The Olinoy Reporter is in trouble. That's right, one of the last completely independently written and published small town papers in the country is going to have to go OUT OF BUSINESS if we don't do something to help.
They've been printing it like it is from Olinoy, Illinois for 100 years and their final issue could hit the stands soon. They have a Kickstarter project up and running but as editor Harvey Rushlin said "it's been a slow mover next to all the TV shows wanting to makes films of themselves and the like."
So whadya say, folks? We get a lot of good comedy material from the OR, without it things would be a lot uh… slower… around here.
Remember this is the paper who broke the Horseradish scandal, brought us the Carnival Cruise weight loss plan and showed us all that a good pair of boat shoes could really come in handy during a flood. Huh? Huh?! So visit Kickstarter and for a little piece of wallet, you can give The Olinoy Reporter big piece of mind. And the Ducks will sleep peacefully.
